The Hands Behind the Craft
Torboon is led by Boontavee, a designer based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, the kind of city where craft is still taken seriously. Every bag is handmade by skilled Thai women in her workshop, where traditional weaving and leather techniques are passed down, not rushed.
The bags you find at Kaluna Tree have traveled from those hands in Chiang Mai to boutiques in Paris, Taipei, and now Beirut. Each one made in a place where fair wages and safe conditions aren't a marketing claim, they're just how things are done.

How Torboon Bags Are Made
Craft that takes time. That's the point.
From hand-dyed cotton yarn to finished leather bag, everything happens in Torboon's atelier in Chiang Mai, Thailand — by hand, by the same team, start to finish.
The cotton is woven on traditional wooden looms, the leather cut and assembled in the same workshop. No factory, no shortcuts. Just two crafts that have existed for centuries, brought together in one small studio in northern Thailand.
Traditional handloom weaving and leather craftsmanship, kept alive one bag at a time.
